Location: St. Louis, Missouri Employment type: Direct Hire Source: PEG Staffing job board (Bullhorn job 4073) Civil Project Engineer (Direct Hire) Location: St. Louis, MO area Schedule: Flex Time (4 nine-hour days + half-day Fridays) Overview This Civil Project Engineer role is more of a Project Manager position — don’t let the title fool you. You’ll run projects cradle to grave, stay client-facing, and own deliverables from design through permitting and construction support. This is a direct hire opportunity with a clear growth track Key Responsibilities - Lead the design, management, and production of construction plans for projects including industrial, commercial, and educational - Manage projects from kickoff through permitting, approvals, and construction support (cradle to grave) - Prepare quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and bid specifications - Review and process contractor submittals / shop drawings - Develop site investigation and feasibility reports - Maintain strong client communication and project documentation - Perform quality control (QC) reviews of design projects - Present projects to clients, agencies, municipalities, and the public Required Qualifications - B.S. in Civil Engineering - PE license (or ability to obtain) - 5–15 years of civil engineering design experience - Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and HEC-RAS Preferred Experience (Strong Plus) - Design/Build project experience - Warehouse / industrial site development experience - Experience coordinating with municipalities and local approval processes Compensation & Benefits - Competitive compensation base and bonus - Medical + Dental (paid at 100% employee responsible for 35% dependent premium) - Flex schedule: 4x9-hour days + half-day Fridays - Employer-paid Life Insurance - Employer-paid Short & Long-Term Disability - Vacation / Holiday / Sick Time - Simple IRA Plan - Flexible Spending Account (FSA) How to Apply To be considered, please apply with an updated resume.
