Strategic Planning Manager

Direct Hire | Full-Time | Greater St. Charles, MO Area

A growing manufacturing organization headquartered in the Greater St. Charles area is seeking a Strategic Planning Manager to partner closely with executive leadership on business performance, forecasting, and strategic initiatives. This role offers high visibility across the organization and the opportunity to directly influence commercial strategy, operational planning, and long-term growth initiatives.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys blending analytics with strategy — the kind of person who can build the model and explain what it actually means to leadership without sending everyone into a spreadsheet-induced coma.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Drive analytics and performance reporting related to revenue, costs, profitability, and operational performance

- Analyze market, customer, and competitive trends to identify business opportunities and risks

- Translate complex operational and financial data into actionable recommendations for leadership

- Support commercial and strategic decision-making through modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis

- Lead analysis and coordination of high-impact cross-functional business initiatives

- Develop business cases, investment analyses, sensitivity models, and make-vs-buy evaluations

- Assist with commercial agreements and supply-related contract analysis

- Support forecasting, annual budgeting, and long-range strategic planning processes

- Prepare executive-level presentations and reporting materials for internal leadership and customer discussions

- Partner cross-functionally with operations, commercial, supply chain, and finance teams to align priorities and business needs

What They’re Looking For

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field required

- MBA strongly preferred

- 4+ years of experience in finance, analytics, strategy, or business planning within manufacturing, chemicals, materials, or a related industry

- Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities

- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

- Ability to simplify complex information into clear business insights for leadership teams

- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment

- Self-starter mentality with strong ownership and follow-through

- Someone who can think strategically while still being willing to jump into the details and execute

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

- High-impact role with direct exposure to executive leadership

- Opportunity to influence strategic business decisions and long-term growth initiatives

- Collaborative, lean environment where your work will be highly visible

- Stable direct-hire opportunity with a well-established manufacturing organization

- Competitive compensation and benefits package

Work Environment

This position is based onsite at the company’s corporate headquarters in the Greater St. Charles area and will occasionally interact with manufacturing operations environments.

If you enjoy solving business problems, building strategy from data, and partnering across teams to drive results, this could be a strong next step.
